Twitter is a panic-driven place, as I can see from a lot of tweets that are RTed into my timeline. Is this really an all out "information war" as these twets claim? Democracies in decline, strongmen on the rise? Twitter, FB and others the "weapons manufactorers" in this war? Don't let this war cross your door sill, refuse to panic, esp. when you are called to arms by those "sensitives" in search of "resistance". They are part of the war they claim we're in. They profit more from it, nosh more from it, than all the alleged culprits they identify.

And honestly, I'm a bit gleeful that this time it is #mastodon-run instances that crash under the load and not, like in the past, the tiny #GNUsocial instances. This time we're away from the sea spray, and some megalomaniacal "developers" of Mastodon face the brunt.

If you want an easy to use tool for your social media activities, don't use the #fediverse. Stay with your instagrams, tiktoks, whatever. Better: Stay with Twitter. You'll be better off there than wasting your time learning the basics to have a decent fediverse experience.

The only long-lasting impact #mastodon run instances will have is to be so unbearable to use for refugees from Twitter that they'll all turn back immediatedly, convinced that even a Musk-Twitter is better than this whole nonsense of mastodon-run instances. The #fediverse is doing Musk a big favour.

Acabo de ver una captura que contenía un diálogo de dos cuentas de mastodon, pero en realidad era un RT de twitter que otra cuenta de twitter ha crossposteado al #Fediverso.
