@benis sure, but it’s a stupid thing to mandate by law. people have been using these shock absorber-less scooters just fine for years, the law seems to be a technocratic law that will raise scooter rent prices at best and an attempt at a market grab at worst (while the existing scooter rent services take time to adapt someone who was informed by gubbie in advance can quickly roll out their law-compliant rental scooters)

@benis unfortunate, but I don't think this warrants a law. moscow is not a small rural town, potholes aren't generally a thing. also consider that those who use the scooters are not forced to do it. they could use the public transport, rent a bike or even order a taxi (provided they need to ride more than 3km) instead. all of these options are cheaper than renting an electric scooter. the people who use the rented scooters are just teenagers/students who ride them for fun.so I really doubt potentially saving few people from falling due to a rare unsmooth sidewalk is worth making scooter companies replace/modify their entire fleet, pushing prices up and therefore reducing demand

@shpuld it's okay I guess, I flunked 2 tasks I thought I would solve that were supposed to give me 2 points each, but unexpectedly I solved the last task, which gave me 4 points. if everything I solved is actually correct I might have a chance at getting into a good uni on gubbie money, provided I ace informatics and my russian exam turns out to be also not bad. if I had some mistakes, oh well, at least I am sure I will clear the threshold for paid education

was standing at an empty bus stop, researching how it’s held together for own curiousity, this involved going around it a couple of times and using a flashlight because it was dark. then a dude came up to me and was like “whatcha searching for under those cameras?”. i answered nothing. He was like “sure, sure. you know, he is not dumb, he will not hide it under a camera”. and then proceeded to give me advice on how to find a drug cache for 2 minutes. thanks?
