?So, it's upgrade day and I will be starting the upgrade to v2.7.0 for all instance hosted in Masto.host now.

To avoid long waits during database upgrade there will be 2 downtimes of under 30 seconds. Meaning, your instance will go down and come back up and after some minutes (depending on instance size) the same will happen and the upgrade finished.

Nothing will change for current subscribers, active subscriptions will continue with the same price and conditions.

The upgrade has finished but with a twist, what was supposed to be an upgrade to v2.6.3 ended up being an upgrade to v2.6.4 :)

Version 2.6.4 was just a small fix https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/releases/tag/v2.6.4 that was introduced a couple of hours ago when I was getting ready to start the upgrade. So, I decided to wait and do the move straight to 2.6.4

All instances have been upgraded. Any issues, please let me know.

v2.6.1 upgrades fog-core and fog-openstack to newer versions from 1.45/0.1 to 2.1.0/0.3

This was the source of the problem. I forked Mastodon and reverted only those 2 gem versions and it solved it. In theory it shouldn't break anything else ?

I am not sure if this will just affect OVH Object Storage (what I use for Masto.host shared hosting) or all OpenStack/Swift. In the coming days I'll post more about this on GitHub.

All shared hosted instances have been upgraded to v2.6.1

Hopefully all issues are solved and will upgrade the dedicated instances tomorrow morning.

OK! I think I have found a solution. Problem should be solved in the next 20 minutes.

There is currently a problem of compatibility with v2.6.1 and Masto.host shared hosted instance (OpenStack Swift).

Image uploads is not working.

I completely forgot to test image uploads before upgrading. My bad.

I am working on a solution but have no ETA on the issue being fixed yet. I will post more information when I have it.

You should expect a couple of minutes of downtime (depending on the size of the instance could be up to 5 minutes) some time in the next couple hours.

@weep I have tested the @import and it doesn't work on v2.6.0, you will need to copy the code and paste it in the Custom CSS admin. I think it works like that, at least it did with the code I tried.

@weep in theory CSP will only influence CustomCSS if you use images that are hosted outside your instance. But we will find a solution if that causes any problems :)
