@sunchaser Oh, you meant using redis as a database? It already supports the env parameter for the cache but I never considered using redis as a database. Issue is re-opened, I have a fix to push shortly.

If you run a :pixelfed: instance, you will need to setup a socket.io websocket server or use pusher.io.

The docs will be updated with instructions so you are prepared for federation support!
