@Gargron I should have worded that better, I was referring to federation support and the fact that pixelfed has taken longer than other projects to implement federation support.

I love mastodon, and it wasn't meant to be negative towards you or your project.

In the recent changelog podcast, @Gargron said he focused on api-first development. He used curl to use mastodon in the early days.

Pixelfed is UI-first driven, and for good reasons. When federation support launches, a new AP project with thousands of users will join the fediverse.

The wait will be worth it, trust me.

@sethrewha I watched an earlier version of this series on Laracasts and learned laravel. It is a great resource to learn such a powerful framework. I've made a lot of laravel projects since, and pixelfed is probably the largest now!
