This is wild to me: the new CEO of Barnes & Noble, who has apparently turned the company around to the point where they are reopening closed stores, and who previously saved the Waterstones chain in the UK, is James Daunt of Daunt Books, the legendary travel book shop in London! And his simple and profound innovation is that he believes bookstores should focus on selling books, and that local booksellers should have as much decision-making power as possible.
