A new bugfix version of LabPlot, KDE's app for visualizing and analyzing complex sets of data, is out. LabPlot 2.8.1 lets you change the labels' backgrounds and copy results from the cursor to the clipboard, and also corrects many minor, but annoying bugs.

Today, KDE devs release updates for multiple apps. Among other things, Krita, the popular program for painters, gets advanced new features; Partition Manager supports more use cases; and Konversation (chat IRC program) gets a cool new dark theme.

KDE Plasma's System Monitor gets a facelift and a new backend, letting you keep track of all your machine's resources, such as how much space you have left on your hard disks, the load on your CPU and the applications slowing down your system.

Kontact is KDE's suite for email, calendars, contacts and tasks. The new upcoming version uses 30% less database storage, comes with improved synchronization with your email provider, and gets better support for smart cards, among many other things.
