If Jim Carrey hams it up enough to make Sanic 2019 the Samurai Cop of shitty vidya game movies, that'd be its only saving grace as far as the film itself goes.

@kfist If normalfag audiences didn't complain about the design, and they're the target audience, then it sounds like proceeding as-is would be the most cost effective solution. Sanic fans are either already turned off or too demoralized to have standards anyway.

The director of Sanic 2019 promising to redo the design is after becoming a laughingstock online is kind of hilarious. Pre-production was from 2016, and principal photography was a year ago. I realize Sanic's CG is probably 90% post-production, but a redesign of the central character in the 7 month lead up to release, after you've blown your PR load with your first trailer...why the hell didn't they test-screen any of this shit before now?

@zemichi on the list of problems, existing and potential, Sanic the Uncanny Valley ranks pretty high though.
