      2017年2月よりサービスを開始したソーシャルVRプラットフォーム「VRChat」。好きなアバターになりきってオンライン空間に参加できるアプリです。VRChatは、好きな「ワールド」を作成して公開できることも魅力の1つであり、アニメやゲームの世界を思わせるワールドや、バーチャル美術館など、様々なワールドが存在します。 今回、VRChatに存在するとあるワールドにて、ユーザーのnarihara氏（@Benishoga_2）が体験した内容がTwitterで話題となっています。 本日、断頭台のワールドにて合意の上で斬首されてきました。その結果、しばらく動くこともできないほどの精神的な衝撃を受けました。全身から冷や汗が吹き出して、手足が痺れ、力は入らず、意識は遠のき、首に違和感が現れました。VRに魂が引っ張られている人たちは注意です。 — narihara@VRC(晶葉に声を) (@Benishoga_2) 2018年10月22日 narihara氏がツイートしているワールドは「Battle of Camlann」。シンプルで暗い風景の中、断頭台（ギロチン）が設置されているワールドです。narihara氏の一連のツイートでは、VR内で斬首された後、汗や手足のしびれ、意識の遠のきなど、その影響が実際の心体にも出ていることが伝わってきます。 VR×触覚について調べるうちに、ここへ辿り着いた 今回、Mogura VRでは「Battle of Camlann」にてどのような体験をしたのかnarihara氏にお話をうかがいました。 narihara氏はVRChatを約3ヶ月で650時間以上プレイするほど熱中しており、体験中には“アバターに触れられると、実際の体に触れられたような感覚がする”ほどになったそうです。この「仮想空間で実際に触られた気がする」という体験から、VR上で色々と試してみたいという好奇心が生まれたとのこと。 「VR上でくすぐられたらどう感じるか？」「自分の肉体には存在しない、アバターの獣耳を触られたらどうなるか？」を友人らとテストしてみたところ、人により「感触が全くない」人から「くすぐったい」と感じる人まで、異なった感想を得ることができたそうです。
