@rick @BaldGodzilla @caseyp you should not need a book for those, just write them down a lot. it's just 50 characters each, katakana you can more or less ignore for a while until you get the hang of them.
If you download the anki file at http://www.kanjidamage.com/ and do that every day (EVERY DAY) for 40 minutes you will be able to read AND write the 1700 most important kanji after ~ 200 days. This really works. It really is the magic trick to learning japanese writing. This will put you ahead of 90% of japanese learners worldwide. -

@caseyp @rick @BaldGodzilla if you use this you will be successful. @shpuld did it and had success and I used it to fill out the holes in my uni education. -

@rick @caseyp @BaldGodzilla my advice would be to either really concentrate on it for one or two years (meaning: spending one hour each day on it) to get to a good level or give it up for now. You can't really learn it if you only spend 2 hours every Thursday or something. -

@BaldGodzilla @rick @caseyp it's not a crazy amount of time, but it still takes some discipline and sacrifice. -

@wakarimasen I think concentrating on kanji is perfect, it makes learning everything else so much easier.
