i downloaded this PMD plugin for winamp to listen to PC-98 game music and it's cool because the channel volume settings in its config dialog don't actually do anything until you turn them back down later, at which point they apply the values they were set to before, until the next time you play a song. the plugin hasn't been updated in 18 years
