     @debbie @feld It eats ram. If you don't have lots of ram to spare don't use it. You're better of using compression and be done with it.

     @debbie Depends on your needs. lz4 for less compressing but more speed and zsd for better compressing but slower.

     @debbie There is also gzip which I don't really recommend because it's very slow.

     @feld @debbie I know and it's not worth it most of the time. Anyway the question was if it was a good idea to enable it with server that has 8GB ram which it clearly isn't.
