@codl I have used a NodeMCU to turn LEDs on and also off. It worked okay. I've never managed to connect it to the wireless here because eduroam is hard, which is unfortunate.

  @codl it might be possible now - when I messed with it (maybe 1.5y ago) it seemed mostly like a fixable software issue
