Now that a bunch of Ruby folks are joining https://ruby.social, maybe they'll start poking around the Mastodon codebase and there might be some interesting PRs opened?
I remember when I started toot.cafe and we got quite a few web folks like @sorin and myself contributing perf/a11y fixes to the Masto frontend.
