going to buy issue 3000 of Perry Rhodan in the store as I usually do, but, you know, for safety, I also ordered one copy online for Collecting reasons
I'm not usually much of a collector, but like, come on. Issue 3000!

p.s. that's not a zero too many: Perry Rhodan, the worlds Largest Scifi Series, is about to reach 3000 issues published, at one 55ish pages issue per week, near uninterrupted since 1961.
@keiyakins hahaha, yeah. Though, while there IS a continuous plot, it is very much broken up into arcs of 100 issues each, that are mostly independent! I skipped about 2 years / 1 arc, and had no trouble resuming reading whatsoever!
There is also a really well maintained wiki, which helps
@keiyakins also, while the very early issues are interesting they are not necessarily very... good? contemporary? the series has very much grown and changed along with all of scifi, and societal attitudes.
@keiyakins it is, but you gotta go in expecting that imo or it’ll just kind of suck
current story is brilliant, though, in any case
@tsturm i sat next to a guy on the bus once who then happened to pull out the same issue i was reading. I was maybe 16, guy was... at least 60? ?
