   TIL in Japanese, the term request (リクエスト) means both "ask the artist to draw something for free" and "ask the artist to draw something for a fee".

   because in English, it's mainly used to mean the former

     Everytime I see both "リクエスト等は受け付けておりません" and "ご依頼等ありましたら下記のメールアドレスにてご連絡ください" I have to stop and figure out whether personal commissions are okay

     because リクエスト is not accepted, but 依頼 is? ?
