     Gab doesn't correctly federate user avatars, so almost every gab user looks like they have the default pleroma one. So we just replaced the default pleroma avatar with a different one when it's a gab user, nothing personal.

     in this case "federate" as in "gab doesn't federate avatars" I mean that, gab.com doesn't properly send my server your avatar image. So, on our side, almost every gab user looks like they never set an avatar.

     That's so awful! I can't believe someone would just go and modify the avatar component in Vue to add a function called isGab() that replaces their default avatars with the star of David!
