   It's actually not too mysterious how to pronounce it and you can look it up online (spoiler: it depends on the tone after it) but it would be nice to be taught in these lessons.

     assume that people can hear and reproduce sounds, which is only true of some seemingly-small subset, mmm. maybe should have separate classes for those who can and can't, or separate pronunciation help sessions or something

     @shmibs my current teacher just ignores the tones when the students say them, I'll have to ask her to correct me properly.
