This guy graduated my university (one of the most prestigious in this country) and writes 2000 liner source files, copy-pasting shit that you should be using functions for, basically no understanding of DRY, can't use version control to save his life, codes ON the raspberry pi instead of pushing code to it, etc. etc... I brought this stuff up to him before but it just rolls off him.

I guess it's a little impressive for him to make it that far. Or disappointing of the university to let someone so incompetent graduate. I know you can see this.

@march to be fair
I'd code on the RPi, but only because it sounds like fun :blobcat:
-
@ivesen I won't be having fun if I'm coding outside my personal computer. I'd be crippled with runtime and compiler errors.

@march I want to learn ed so that I can write code on a 6502
in other news, I need to get a 6502
-
@ivesen that's just a microprocessor isn't it... You need to do a whole lot of voodoo to even connect a keyboard to it, let alone run an operating system that can run ed
-
@march that's ok, I've built various odd adapters to make shit work previously
and making a barebones OS doesn't seem like it would be that hard. It's not like I need to even think about security with this one
