     @coldacid this is a job in germany, where nouns are gendered. so in general, you would have a german gendered noun there. but to prevent having to write the same word twice, once in male and female form, they write the male form and add (m/f), to express that the gender doesn't matter. recently we got a third gender and now this has to be put somewhere too.
