A Soviet citizen went to the polls in the recent elections in the U.S.S.R. and was handed a sealed envelope to be ballot box. When he opened the envelope to examine the ballot slip, the election supervisor objected.

“But I want to know for whom I'm voting,” the citizen protested.

“Are you out of your mind ?” the supervisor screamed. “Don't you know the ballot is secret?”
