   @kura when i set it to 5000, the idea was to have a limit that you never run into, but that prevents stupid stuff like posting the bee movie script.

     @kura mastodon even has a thread mode in the post composer to do those stupid twitter style 1/x threads. i wrote a patch for mastodon that made post length configurable, but it wasn't merged. it's merged in glitchsoc, tho
