   it came up recently again, people can (and some do) scrape the public content of an instance via the api rather easily. if you want to prevent that, you can set your instance to non-public, search for `public` at https://docs-develop.pleroma.social/backend/configuration/cheatsheet/ .
   
   This still leaves open many, many other ways to get the public content of your instance, many of them inherent in the way federation works.
