     @augustus @vriska its just an interesting story of modern US wartime propaganda. American jingoists still bring him up as a martyr.
     
     I dunno if he was killed by bioluminescent men of color. The simplest explaination is that his unit made a oopsie and freaked out because their war hero died and burned the evidence to pretend it was a honorable death but that doesn't explain why his notebook was also destroyed.
