     @Moon @shmibs Ah, I love that movie a lot! The books are great too, but you basically have to learn a whole new language as you read them since they're so dense with nautical linguo.I find tall ships to be a fascinating subject in general, they're such a pure example of a group of people acting as one single "organism".

     @shmibs @guizzy There is a different movie by Peter Weir (I think he's an excellent director) that maybe you would like, Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975) it is a scary movie in parts but because it deals with the unknown rather than gore or monsters etc. It is about an Australian girls' school in 1900 visiting a rock formation and some of the girls disappearing, and the aftermath of that event. It is a beautiful movie and loaded with symbolism.Netflix recently remade it but the remake is probably pointless and terrible.
