    I was wondering why "ssl" was renamed to "tls" and it looks like the answer is "b/c Microsoft pressured for the change for no reason other than not wanting Netscape's naming, despite Netscape doing the initial work" (sounds familiar... hello "ecmascript"?) http://tim.dierks.org/2014/05/security-standards-and-name-changes-in.html
