Fun fact – that gun has four of five shots only. The cargo area is the first area in the game where you encounter an enemy (unless you manage to crack the power room code first which spawns another enemy in the elevator corridor which you have to kill – unlike this one) and you have to traverse it at least twice unarmed. Backtracking there to kill the enemy leads you to an extra cutscene you see here though – and it's good target practice outside of the training mode since there's only one enemy and it's relatively easy to navigate (unlike the immediate next labyrinth the game throws you in with several enemies – unarmed again)

@roka @Dolus @shpuld Making the enemies completely invisible is such a cheap trick tbh -

@deadheat @Dolus @shpuld it's not. both you and the enemy are one hit kills for each other and the tension can feel incredible. What is cheap is adding a cost to both saving and loading... but the game is relatively short so it's not as cumbersome as you might think it is. And that's on normal, other difficulty settings affect mechanics in different way (depending on the version it could be decreasing cost of saving while making loading free, making gun batteries never deplete etc.) In a way, it's part of what makes the game more tense similar to how D's time limit was way more than you'd need to solve the game unless you got particularly stuck in your train of thought - and yet the threat still loomed over you which made it exciting. -

@deadheat @Dolus @shpuld the enemy is actually rather slow too and the AI isn't exactly hunting for you unless you aggro it :cirnoThink: -

@deadheat @Dolus @shpuld ah yeah, in case you don't know - D is purely FMV exploration and puzzles with the exception of one QTE segment. The game kind of makes the danger of running out of time more real by having the movement feel sluggish too (and there is no saving so you play it from start to finish) -

@Dolus @deadheat @shpuld and for the record on E0, the game actually expects you to kill the enemy in cargo area because doing that also lets you get access to a power puzzle solution via videophone to a certain password-protected crew member (you get password elsewhere)... but I originally just bruteforced it because enemy was scary lol
