     higurasi 2020 01: watching remakes feel weird since you know everything alreadylike, what am i supposed to feel when they try the jarring juxtaposition. "oh that was an attempt"whereas back in the day with the deen version i'd actually get uncomfortable not knowing what's coming upthe hauus and nipahs are sprinkled on gratuitously, not sure if they're just checking off the boxes on the original source material or if the director actually likes the source material and wants that many hauus and nipahs in the showthe calendar cuts every day also made this feel more like a straight on VN adaptation than the deen one (but then it's been a while since i watched the deen version so i don't remember if they did it too
