>It is improbable that SARS-CoV-2 emerged through laboratory manipulation of a related SARS-CoV-like coronavirus. As noted above, the RBD of SARS-CoV-2 is optimized for binding to human ACE2 with an efficient solution different from those previously predicted7,11. Furthermore, if genetic manipulation had been performed, one of the several reverse-genetic systems available for betacoronaviruses would probably have been used19. it wasn't made in a lab because it looks different to all the other coronaviruses that we've made in labs lmao

@moth it's funny because the US NGO woman saying it wasn't a lab accident origin was the person who trained all the people in the Wuhan lab, as if she's ever gonna fuckin admit it

@augustus At some point I just started presuming that anything official is the inverse of true, and it has not been a bad move so far.

@Moon @augustus @moth intentionally would be rather stupid, so would need a lot of evidence. nothing good in killing your own citizens and making the world distrust you. accidents, though, who knows

@augustus @moth That a biology lab that researches coronaviruses is literally within walking distance of ground zero of the outbreak is string circumstantial evidence by itself and I am sick of people pretending it's not even plausible.
