@absturztaube @enigmatico the universe exists in the dream of an old man and will vanish when he wakes up
-
@enigmatico @papush_ s/theory/hypothesis/yes it is an ongoing hypothesis yet it is generally agreed that its together with the big crunch a fairly unlikely one
-
@absturztaube @papush_ The "big rip" is actually an ongoing theory. I mean, they are all theories but this is the one that is gaining strength right now.
-
@papush_ @enigmatico also the big rip is just one of the universes ends which afaik isn't the most likely one (or i missed something recent)
-
@enigmatico @absturztaube the big bang isn't an exlosion, things aren’t “moving” apart the universe itself is expanding and making immobile object grow apart (afaik), and andromeda is close enough that gravity compensates for iti don't understand it all but you should go watch some smart videos about it because i think you're making a lot of misconceptions :blobcatpat:

@absturztaube @papush_ Isn't it odd though?Science is saying now that the universe is splitting apart. That the universe is decelerating and that the "black matter" has to do with it. And that some day, all matter will eventually split and lose its energy, being put into an eternal stop. But then you still see galaxies merging and crossing with each other, objects colliding, new stars being born from the remains of other stars...Also if the universe was born from a "big band" as supposed, why are objects colliding with each other instead of spreading through whatever the universe is? The force of the explosion should have sent all matter flying and spreading across the universe, but everything seems to be merging and orbiting around stuff due to gravity...
-
@papush_ well that party needs a long time to prepare
-
@absturztaube can't wait till we dance with her
-
@mewmew @enigmatico @absturztaube @papush_ you know what's the most likely? The big divine plan.
-
@enigmatico @absturztaube @papush_ the "big rip" is actually considered unlikely.
-
@papush_ @absturztaube If you are talking about climate change, it's real. But we didn't cause it. If anything, we are just making it a little bit worse than it should be. That's all.The earth actually has climate cycles that last for a few thousands of years. There is nothing we can do about it. We can, at most, try to not add to it.

@absturztaube @enigmatico how can heat death be real if i'm freezing rn politicians are clearly lying :blobcat3c:
-
@happymoomoo @enigmatico @papush_ heat death is the most likely hypothesis currently (please point me if that is not the case anymore)
-
@absturztaube @enigmatico @papush_ If protons don't decay there will form the most metal things in the universe: iron stars.
-
@papush_ @absturztaube Those are not temperatures, those are CO2 levels. I'm talking about temperatures.I'm pretty sure CO2 levels were much higher when there were more intense volcanic activity, millions of years ago, even way more than there is now. Which ironically made the earth turn into ice because it was blocking the sun light.

@enigmatico @absturztaube ye no see that spike, that don't look much like a natural cycle does it
