@Dolus @deadheat interestingly, the Selphie running in corridor early on in FFVIII is actually the same entity as the Selphie you control during her standalone segments. It's probably like that for all characters too. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7wxjwf

  Seems events can lock up with collisions and the game doesn't exactly differentiate between party members and NPCs on screen.
