Majo no Tabitabi - 04: My concern is neither the divine nor the human, not the true, good, just, free, etc., but solely what is mine, and it is not a general one, but is — unique, as I am unique. Nothing is more to me than myself!morality-is-a-spook.jpg

Majo no Tabitabi is one those rare shows where after a bad first impression I kept watching it and changed my opinion of it. I must say it was my fault, I expected it to be "Kino no Tabi" but that is just a superficial comparison. If you leave that out of the way, the show in itself as a bystander MC who show us how horrific and depressive this matriarchal magical medieval world works. It isn't that Elaine did not thing wrong, she does nothing. But in that way, we get to explore the tragedies that fall upon those city-states without much interference and see where it leads. She is just concerned with her own personal gains, experience and the occasional ego-stroking showing of her 'proclaimed' extraordinary magical powers.Majo no Tabitabi - 04 -00:10:16…

@hfaust does she still have an ego? Her character type is one I find annoying.

@roka She almost helps someone, not because it's the right thing, just because she feels like it. But at the end she does nothing.
