"You mean a female shares the same interests as me?! No this cant be true, she must be doing it for male attention. I can't like the same things as a girl."
-
@kaikatsu @NeikoCat @shpuld maybe she's done other stuff like that though I don't know.
-
@Moon @NeikoCat @kaikatsu @shpuld her things are fairly simple, it seemed, but passionate-y about encouraging others to get involved and try it as well. and the lewd fashion stuff is hobby (+ way to get attention... from local chinese girls ????)
-
@kaikatsu @NeikoCat @shpuld that was like one thing out of all the stuff she's done.
-
@shpuld @NeikoCat I feel sorry for that Chinese girl who does all the maker stuff and for some reason it's "woke" men who hate on her.
-
@Moon @shpuld @NeikoCat Naomi Wu? She do be using her sexuality to showcase average projects doe (led mini mini-skirt)
-
@NeikoCat how dare people be not as much into certain specifics of my hobby as I am
-
@kaikatsu @Moon @NeikoCat @shpuld the appearance stuff is just what she does in her daily life, and so it carries into projects as well, rather than being a "front" constructed specifically for the camera
-
@Moon @NeikoCat @shpuld I'm sure she's done impressive work but when you use sexuality to advertise yourself, you kind of screw yourself over from being taken seriously. Like if Ninja had all his online photos be in boxers I'm not so sure people are gonna take his pro fortnite strats seriously. It seems like a cheap way to grab attention. And much like with other sex-based celebrities, you lose the fame when you have nothing left to offer that isn't already seen. I don't intend to promote someone who is manipulating public appeal in the most easy, obvious way.

@kaikatsu @Moon @NeikoCat @shpuld (back from シャワー and blathering at this point, but dressing that way is actually part of a cultural response to china's repressive anti-homosex rhetoric / censorship, sort of "we're not allowed to talk about ourselves, so instead we'll be as visually loud / flamboyant as we can". it gets hated on by certain "western peeps", though, because "you're playing into gender norms!" "patriarchy!" etc, which is kind of embarrassing. but anyways yeh, it's in this case nothing to do with getting attention from guys for money or whatever, unlike maybe "coolgirl35 plays the videogame poorly while wearing her pajamas" type things)
-
@shmibs @NeikoCat @kaikatsu @shpuld so it is just an extension of China's war on tits
-
@kaikatsu @Moon @NeikoCat @shpuld butch / femme is a thing
-
@shmibs @Moon @NeikoCat @shpuld How is Wu dressing like a western porn web comic anything to do with public homosexuality suppression? She is a straight woman. She's also an angloboo afaik so yeah it could be "I'm gonna be really naked in protest of society not wanting me to be naked!" but that's nothing to do with China specifically and I would still support the cultural norm of not treating pasties as clothing.
-
@kaikatsu @Moon @NeikoCat @shpuld > goes to all-girl bar> sit in person's lap> makeouts (nice)> literally a straight woman
-
@shmibs @Moon @NeikoCat @shpuld Bro she is literally a straight woman dating a man I don't know what you on about rn
-
@kaikatsu extreme "bimbo" outfit is the counterpoint to "wear guy clothes and a false beard" butch. it happened in the us before "problematic" started and has happened other places as wellwhat you're being invested in is some weird, twisted rose-glasses version of china, which is honestly just as inaccurate as the people who talk about it as "the land of evil communists"
-
@shmibs I think you overestimate how invested I am in this womans lifeEven if she is home of sexual dressing like the bimboification walk meme doesn't say anything about gay rights. It just says "let me dress like a bimbo"
