@nik @tuxcrafting at the least brains have a lot of messy data dependencies, neuron A inhibits neighbour B, links up with CDE, loops and tangle. not all the clean "data pipeline" type structure in visual processing that we based neural network stuff on, so ridiculously-parallel architectures don't fit the same way, i guessalso real brains are messy. all these different neurotransmitters floating around getting pulled up, released, created, degrading, and glial cells aren't just structure sitting there either, can modulate neurons etcnot an expert ????, but doesn't feel so easily simulatable as that

so an human brain has 86 billion neurons, and neurons fire at about 10 Hzthat definitely sounds simulatable with enough processing cores
