   @pasty vim et al. can do auto-hard-wrapping to 80 columns as you type, inserting enter where appropriateit's useful for having easily distinguished lines in like latex, where you have program and lots of writing all mixed together

     And, I know, CODERS like every sentence on a single line and ideally in less than 80 characters which is why we probably ended up with the blank line rule, however

     all the text editors I (a baby) use are capable of wrapping long lines. And it doesn't matter anyway it's not like I'll ever need to edit those with vim on someone else's computer it's not code or whatever

     even worse, I kinda prefer it the nonstandard way. I don't wanna leave an empty line between every 2 paragraphs

     i never realized real markdown requires much more line breaks and that the flavor of markdown obsidian used was way more lenient...

     all my text gets put in a single paragraph on github and gitlab and whatever LOL
