     @icedquinn @lain some people do and some people don't. normally when a mammal gets shortened snout like us the extra teeth evolve away on their own eventually (see cats-vs-dogs dentition), and just not growing them is already a thing going around, only had 3 here and a small mouth where two of those were growing in sideways and would've been badkinda interesting we're at an intermediary stage

     @icedquinn @lain eh, the edge cases aren't that rarebut true, doing unnecessary procedures for self-protection or profit is the norm, whole braces thing as well

     @shmibs @lain tl;dr it's free cash so they try to make you do it. they only need to be removed on weird edge cases where they don't fit properly and you can't maintain them (although nowadays with waterpiks its questionable how much someone can't maintain them.)
