   @clackeThis sounds like HK is approaching other big cities, like NY. NY has been Mafia controlled and look at the drones being deployed there too.

   CivilLiberties don't survive BigCities.

   CivilLiberties are relative too, if you mean people cannot protest freely, there are ways that govts in the west suppress them too. And target individuals. Difference is you often don't have direct evidence, the suppression is online.@shmibs

     @clacke @shmibsAnyway, none of this warrants interventionist foriegn policy. These are internal matters for US (NY) and China (HK, Taipai/Taiwan).

     If people are moving and migrating them to us it looks like there are really no issues at all.
