   @admin anyone who said "masks don't work" was from the start either lying or uninformed and repeating the people who lied (and yeh, includes all the governments that said so officially of coursea perfect mass quarantine could have worked to stop things completely, but weld-people-in-their-apartments doesn't work yet most places outside of beijing's china. extended lockdowns definitely slowed the spreading and let unprepared countries catch up a little, but that has plenty of societal side-effects of courselots of hospitals were overflowing actually, and running out of equipment, and people at hospitals very overworked. but most places somehow kept at least semi-functioning because lockdown things slowed spreadlethality has changed over time with the emergence of new strains and better drugs/preparation, and the initial estimate was a bit high (it's hard to compensate for the undercounted-minor-symptoms problem when you don't have many data yet), but it's still both more dangerous than influenza. and influenza is already dangerous, killing or permanently hurting a lot of people every year, so please do flu shotstesting was a haphazard mess and testing can give false positives. thankfully sensitivity is more important than specificitybasically though don't get news about a disease from your president or government organisation or news channel or random youtube person, though, yeh; they're all making stuff up for one reason or another. talk to a virologist

     Ok retard. Let me go talk to a virologist, you know people who's job it is to over estimate the danger of viruses so they are important.

     A perfect mass quarantine would have worked, yeah I'm sure in fantasy land money also grows on trees and supply lines don't exist.

     Keep drinking that Kool aid though, maybe you can go hug your family after your 7th vaccine dose.
