accidentally started writing a fourth book today

@lain thought it was short story, but then it got longer and
-
@shmibs whoops

@moth_ball most difficult is the first draft always; once something's out there then can play with it in little passes

@shmibs Nice, it's big enough to write one book, so it's pretty amazing that you've already started your fourth one. I've got some script ideas that I've started a little bit but I get discouraged because writing turns out to be a lot harder than it seems.

@moth_ball - having difficulty pulling together novel, how to convey the "turning point" well- short story collection has 1/3 finished, 1/3 part-written, 1/3 just-started ideas, pick those up when other is difficult- nonfiction book will apparently be longest thing ever, feels weird, like trying to link together a collection of blog posts. less tightly-focussed than school stuff, so making it flow requires more engineering. like 200 pages with most of it still just notes and figures and nothing written XX- accidentally started is a children's novel seems, like for 13-olds

@moth_ball that sounds really fun, yeh ^^getting things done requires kinda every-day schedule, though..so you draw things much?

@shmibs Well the good thing with having many projects is like you said, you can work on something else when you hit a roadblock.I have some rough ideas written down for a comic about two rats who are roommates, and also there's some notes about a visual novel script in a university setting. While they're not moving forward much right now I've also promised myself that I won't abandon them without getting some sort of result together.

@shmibs Well, sometimes when the inspiration hits, but not enough to be that skilled yet. I'm the type who gets lots of ideas all the time so sometimes it feels like a waste to let them go without doing anything with them. Eventually I'll forget even the best of ideas if I don't write them down.The first two are concepts fo the rat comic from last year. I keep them on my wall so I get reminded that the project exists. The third pic is from April 1st since it was Kasane Teto's birthday. The comic I know I can probably do by myself, but for the visual novel I thought that I'll make the script first and then I can commission or otherwise get people to help me with assets that I can't do by myself. VN art must be really good because you'll be spending a lot of time looking at them.
