     @nik awh no t_tto be honest, i havent *gotten* to camp like this yet, ive been dying to go back to the southwest and do some actual hiking and backpacking and sightseeing there (thinking like, the gila wilderness, superstition mountains, humphreys peak, grand canyon, many many more) cause all ive really gotten to do so far is pass through and melt on the inside and dream about it for 6 months straight...its expensive to go. gas prices are going up. i might be able to pull it off next month. basically im wanting to tour arizona and new mexico for at least a week.

     @nik @deltarae sure-o...honestly some stuff you kinda have to live here to see, though. like the wildflowers that explode everywhere but only after certain wet monsoon seasonbest thing about the desert here is plants, so look into times for that. both ironwood and saguaro are blooming right now

     @deltarae @nik ah, maybe not..cacti are mostly pretty ephemeral and done. ironwood can last into early next month. palo verde should be done i think, though they bloom differently in the city because water and are not so crazy growing out around other places except for super rainy years, so

     @shmibs @nik gah, i wasnt even thinking about stuff flowering, but that does sound lovely. recently i went out to magazine mountain and i must have had good timing because there were really really pretty flowers everywhere. i didnt expect it and it made me really happy. so yeah i would love to see more of that. i may make it next month. and havent really narrowed down any specific locations. do you know of any flowers i might be able to still see?
