      USB規格の仕様策定を行っている非営利団体のUSB Implementers Forum(USB-IF)が2021年5月25日に、USB Type-Cの新たな仕様をまとめた「Revision 2.1」を発表しました。2年ぶりとなる今回のメジャーリビジョンにより、USB Type-Cで供給できる電力が現行の100Wから240Wに大幅に増加することから、USBで高性能なPCや大画面のモニター、プリンターなども使えるようになると期待されています。
