urxvt-perls broke, so switched to alacritty, which mostly works (has bad font rendering butand neovim is broken in alacritty, so switched back to boringvim, which seems fineprograms explode
-
@Moon criteria here were "something with customisable keyboard-only interfacing and that isn't broken"turns out that isn't-broken doesn't exist, so settled for just the first part XX
-
@shmibs I use terminator but it has a bug where when sloppy focus moves to another window it forcibly switches to tab 1
-
@Moon urxvt has always been the least-bad option here, but it also needs to be patched and breaks all the timeso far this is a step down in functionality but semi-manageable; greek input was broken in both, so it's just the font rendering that's really worse, and neovim being brokenkinda expected that with 20 years could maybe get one option that does everything right... everything could want exists somewhere, just never all in the same program XX
-
@shmibs yeah I went through like a dozen different terminals and they all sucked in different ways
-
@wowaname @Moon tried st. doesn't scrollback and keyboard input, unless there's some patch for that now in which case it's like urxvt-but-worseand has bad font rendering and can't greek input also
-
@Moon @shmibs st just werks
-
@wowaname @Moon keyboard input for scrolling, selections, etcvi bindings, block select, yank urls, that kind of thing
-
@shmibs @Moon >doesn't scrollbacktheres always been a patch for it>keyboard inputwhat?>greek inputuse an IME?
-
@wowaname @Moon ok mmm, then would rather not self-maintain something that's more broken that urxvt and about equally as broken (font rendering slightly worse) another option with pre-built packages
-
@shmibs @Moon scrolling is shift+pgup/down by default, and theres patches for all that other stuff too
-
@wowaname @Moon it works, just badly and with extra annoyance in setup ┐('~`;)┌
-
@shmibs @Moon works on my machine
