@nik wait there are people who aren't is that normal seems super controlling and even abusive
-
@nik @georgia @orekix this is in part because my wife has bpd though. it’s been tough at first, but over time we’ve managed to build enough trust that she doesn’t feel like i’m about to abandon her anymore. it can work if both partners are very devoted and patient.
-
@orekix @georgia I feel like if it's only in one direction that boils down to a lack of strong trust, which uh, how good is your relationship if you don't trust your partner to not fuck other people
-
@nik @orekix @georgia we’d still always tell each other where we’re going and whom we’re spending time with, and keep in touch (write a msg every now and then)yes we’re both extremely clingy and we don’t give each other a lot of space but it still works out :blobcatheart:

@nik @georgia > if it's just one person doing it to the other, definitely fucked.this isn't that rare in either direction, girls not ok with their bf being with other girls and guys not ok with their gf being with other guys
-
@georgia I think if it's done mutually it's not controlling/abusive (I know couples like this), but I still really don't get it. and imo if it's just one person doing it to the other, definitely fucked.

@mia @georgia @nik @orekix that's really difficultmaybe can't ever really be gotten over, honestly; terrified here too of bf disappearing no matter what he says or does. but at least can take like a "whatever happens" attitude and putting other person above self, can avoid making a scene and causing him trouble
