     @rizzo ah ok, sounds a little like our discussion class then. read a book and every day teacher asks some questions and sets class going talking about them for two hours, prompting each other and trying to reach a consensus or at least why people disagree. then write a 10 page essay or something after the book is done. no grammar stuff, though

     @shmibs read book. Talk about book. Talk about american writers. Write essays on them. Get graded for essays. Learn about how to write decent essays. Then there'd be diagramming sentences but I never learned how to do that bullshit.
