   imo linux audio is really good actually and only has a bad reputation because ubuntu 7.04 couldn’t get its shit together with pulseaudio back in the day

     @mia have had a few bad experiences with pulse here, some shared memory bug, the flat volumes thing, a little while when recording couldn't handle silence so had to play low-volume white noise etc

     @mia nothing that's caused overmuch inconvenience, and it makes other things easy, which kind of balances, but still the only other project have had problems with besides nvidia drivers
