I find it quite amusing how in gits:sac they keep talking about "autistic mode" (自閉モード) for the cyber brains when cutting off communications -

the japanese word makes sense in the context, they close themselves in that mode, but the literal translation to english just doesn't sound right at all w -

@shpuld like could say "autonomous", but "autistic" has the added connotation of being with-respect-to-communications -

@shpuld dunno, just that it seemed natural to me first hearing back as a 15-old-or-so, and even right now i can't think of a better word -

@shmibs even if you do see the "auto" in the "autism" which I kinda doubt most people will, it still falls way short of the japanese word which includes the important close part
