Honestly even though im a hardcore right winger by heart i think in terms of practicality that socialism is the only good way to structure such a gigantic systemProbably why i like fascism huh

@Moon @shigeruakagi @BellBell specific race delineations are historical accident, but racist attitudes themselves are an innate part of human psychology, so that, once a "race boundary" is culturally established, it requires a lot of active intervention (or some other big disruptive change) to do away with itpeople fall in line with and act out "their own race" 's stereotypical behaviours as a way of fitting in, and are often also forced or encouraged into those behaviours by outside factions and social status as well, so the end result is that behaviours of a certain kind are overrepresented in people culturally identified as being of a certain groupwhich is to say that, in the US, the "white people" give you death stares, pretend not to notice you're waiting in line, and laugh at you behind your back while the "black people" get in your face, shout things, and sometimes beat you upthese trend-boundaries exist, but they might go away if enough people actively do something to cross them. takes a generation or two of kids growing up together at the fastest, though XX

@shigeruakagi @BellBell sure but you literally can't function without forming biases. I'm not sure what point I'm making though except I don't discount personal experience out of hand.
-
@Moon @BellBell biases form because we want simple answers to complex problems, even when one cant exist. one doesnt need to know much about history to understand why this form of thinking can be harmful
-
@shigeruakagi @BellBell some people have biases based on misinformation I guess
-
@BellBell @Moon by these standards all biases are valid. natural reality is complex and nonlinear, personal experience doesnt cut it
-
@shigeruakagi @Moon that is a dellusion schemed up to get people to deby reality, I have data, Lived experience, and Thousands of interactions to percieve reality, im not going to cast aside my own perception of reality beacuse my own perception is my barometer for personal safety and happiness. I am introspective and can understand how my preconceptions and pattern recognition might form a bias but that still doesnt deny my lived experience which IS valid.
-
@BellBell @Moon be impartial. your personal experience =/= reality
-
@shigeruakagi @Moon I cant I live around black people
-
@BellBell @Moon >but I am racist and gay so nobody would actually like me.just stop being racist
-
@BellBell it's possible to be socialist but not marxist.
-
@Moon Lefties would love me if I were in charge.Id use taxes to make education free I would eliminate state rightsI would introduce a wealth limit of 100 million dollars liquidI would ban companies being larger than 1000 employees.I would expand the FDA and make the rules much stricterI would subsidize healthier food and tax shitty food.I would expand the bug farming industry (so that we can feed the bugs to animals and then eat the animals providing better nutrition all around)I would invest all excess funds into domestic and renewable energy. I would restructure the military and how government budgeting is doneI would redo city planning to allow for more commercial/residential blendingI would make housing non profitI would expand government housing but I am racist and gay so nobody would actually like me.

@shigeruakagi @BellBell @Moon it's true for everyone. racist attitudes are universal, and boundaries are often drawn across features other than skin colour. try koreans in japan or so, or people asking you to prove you're "aryan", not really based on appearance at all in that case when people can't tell how to classify you from lookingbelonging to a certain group is something decided for you, at least to begin with, by who your immediate parents are and what other people decide. it's nothing to do with genetics
-
@shmibs @Moon @BellBell i would say this rings true for lightskin ppl. sometimes on here i see dudes complaining abt some black guy but u look at him and sure hes "black" but 100% that dude is mostly white. that social construction of race absolutely affects them, and theyre stereotyped into a group despite not technically belonging to it

@shigeruakagi @BellBell @Moon got lost and went babbling like halfway through there maybe, sorry XX
