     @meowski @hakui then misinterpreting, mmm. said was like this:- there is a problem. people without prerequisite context will misinterpret things and draw bad conclusions -> hurt themselves and others- classical esoterics' response was to hide away their thinking from the public in an "elites only" club- that's no longer an option, and anyways the world is better off with open access knowledge- only alternative i can think of is promoting education and communication- that's really difficult to do well, and could potentially even make things worse, but gotta try

     @shmibs @hakui i read your posts.what happens when this enlightened priest class of scientists who has taken it upon themselves to do the interpretation for us are the ones misinterpreting it? "trust the experts. this is the consensus" at the same time "we're putting this taxpayer funded research behind a paywall but it'll be free to our academic priest friends" very sick
