     @georgia can't help but default to this guy; still not found any other sf stuff really liked, though been looking...https://airen-no-jikken.icu/tmp/culture.ziphe has *very* dudevision, takes until like the 3rd book to get past flash gordon and into really interesting stuff, and wrote kind of one-pass-and-done, so prose is a bit rocky, but still nice and fun and good, definitely worth reading

     @georgia have tried most all the other stuff mentioned in this thread and these are better, though egan and le guin do have a few nice points here and there
