   Hmm… it’s midnight and there’s some big animal crunching through the greenery in front of the house. Deer having a midnight snack? Coyote stalking little critters?

     A deer. Big guy, too. Not sure what he's doing around the house all by himself in the middle of the night...

     @tsturm Deer, huh? Even in my town, I sometimes encounter them in the mountains. Is your house near a forest?

     @toneji Yes, we are at the edge of town - next to us is a eucalyptus grove, beyond that highway 1, and on the other side of the highway is a part of a National Park. We get a lot of animals. And the deer are so used to us, they are like the deer in Nara! ????

     @tsturm It's a lovely place. The deer in Nara are so used to humans that they can be dangerous sometimes, so please be careful.There are many monkeys in my town, Minoh. They are a natural monuments. However, they have been driven deep into the mountains because they are dangerous, stealing food from people:)
